Cooinda Lodge Kakadu is a unique resort nestled in the heart of Kakadu National Park, Northern Territory, Australia. Under a Accor's Hotel Management Agreement in partnership with the Djigardaba Enterprise Aboriginal Corporation, it offers guests a gateway to explore the UNESCO World Heritage-listed park. TThe lodge offers 48 rooms, 20 eco-tents, 5 villas, and a 300-site campground, along with amenities such as two swimming pools, restaurants, bars, a general store, and access to Yellow Water Cruises and the Warradjan Cultural Centre.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will coordinate daily operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, and Tours. You will drive team success, ensure guest satisfaction, maintain high standards, and support all aspects of lodge life. This full-time, seasonal contract (November–March), has strong potential to become ongoing. On-site accommodation is provided.


Job Description

 

  • Lead, motivate, and develop teams across all departments.

  • Ensure smooth day-to-day lodge and tour operations.

  • Drive guest satisfaction, service quality, and problem resolution.

  • Oversee budgets, reporting, WHS, and environmental compliance.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive culture for live-in team members.

  • Support and relieve the General Manager as required.


Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in hospitality or tourism (hotel, resort, lodge, or high-volume operation).

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop diverse teams across multiple departments.

  • Strong focus on guest experience, service quality, and operational results.

  • RSA certification and understanding of WHS and workplace safety.

  • Financial and business acumen; confident with budgets and reports.

  • Experience using PMS (Opera, MICROS) and POS systems.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, respectful of all cultures.

  • Ability to work and live remotely with flexible rostering (nights, weekends, public holidays).

  • Full, valid driver’s licence.

Desirable

  • Experience managing in remote or regional locations.

  • First Aid or Emergency Management certification.

  • Experience working with Indigenous communities or supporting diversity programs.

  • LR (Light Rigid) licence.
