Job Description

We are looking for a passionate talent to lead the operations of a four-star hotel under the Mercure brand in Ostrava, Czech Republic. This unique property is located in Ostrava city center, with 139 rooms, a restaurant, bar, fitness area with a steam bath and excellent meeting facilities fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology; offering services for business or leisure stays as well. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Successful management of a four-star hotel, operated under Mercure brand via Hotel Management Agreement. Strengthen the hotel’s market position, focusing on topline development. Plan and manage the operations of the hotel to achieve customer (guests, talents, corporate, owner) satisfaction and quality service while meeting / exceeding financial goals.


Qualifications

  • At least 3 years’ experience in operational managerial positions (e.g. in Ops Manager / Deputy GM / GM roles)
  • Strong operational background
  • Outstanding sales acumen, commercial mindset
  • Fluency in English language
  • Czech language knowledge is a competitive advantage
  • Ability to manage relationship with owner and manager in the frame of Hotel Management Agreement
  • Leadership, autonomy
  • Service and quality minded character
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and team management skills
  • Ability to create positive, effective and sustainable working relationships at all levels
