Novotel Surfers Paradise is conveniently located in the heart of Surfers Paradise, close to all forms of public transport and only 150 meters away from our iconic beaches. The hotel features 408 rooms, along with a variety of dining options including: Blvd Café and Bar, The Restaurant, Pool Bar, as well as in-room dining. We offer a welcoming, family friendly and relaxed atmosphere, providing genuine hospitality for our guests. For our guests wanting to unwind we offer a heated outdoor swimming pool & spa, tennis courts and gym. For our conferencing & events guests we have 6 modern function rooms available, accommodating up to 500 delegates.
The Revenue Manager reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for maximizing hotel room revenue through effective pricing, rate parity distribution across all channels, and Hotel inventory management.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working inclusively with the General Manager and Hotel’s leadership team in developing budgets, long-term strategies and short-term tactics to increase the hotel’s overall revenue and maximise profit.
- Working closely with the General Manager, Food and Beverage Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing your focus will be on maximising hotel revenue to achieve budgeted and forecasted revenue targets with an emphasis on trend recognition, demand anticipation and opportunity analysis.

- Forecasting by market segment and day, to determine key needs and opportunity days and communicate these to the sales and operations teams for a clear and direct approach to achieving revenue strategies.
- Producing reports and providing insight that will support and evaluate the Hotel’s business strategies.
- Proactively leading Loyalty recruitment throughout the Hotel
- Executing high level reporting and detailed business analysis regularly for owners and our Regional team.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Revenue Manager and background in front office and or reservations in a dynamic Hotel environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop the team.
- Possess strong financial acumen recommending budgeting strategies for revenue maximisation
- Ability to identify trends in the market and translate them into effective real-time strategies
- Confident and articulate communication, negotiation and relationship building skills.
- Demonstrated business acumen with the confidence to exercise good judgement and consideration of commercial implications.
- The proven ability to review statistics in detail and then extrapolate key information that is communicated to various stakeholders, including our owners.
- A willingness to be hands on within the operation and drive a culture of guest obsession and loyalty with the team.
- The ability to create meaningful connections, creating a high level of trust with the team.
- A collaborative leader with a strategic and analytical focus
- Previous experience with Opera Cloud, Ideas, STR and advanced excel skills
- Superior organisational, time management and follow through skills
- Self-motivated and target driven
- You are flexible and have a desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team
- Current First Aid certificate or the ability to obtain these.
- Experience in the hospitality industry and ACCOR is advantageous
- Unlimited work rights for Australia
You are self motivated and driven:
- Graduate or post graduate degree desirable
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
- Experience in Front Office and/or Reservations preferable
- Opera or Opera Cloud
- You have proven leadership skills
