Job Description

The Revenue Executive will work alongside the Director of Revenue to implement and use Revenue Management methods, processes and tools to maximize the revenue. He/she will work closely with the operations team and marketing team, to establish strategies in order to maximize revenues.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Revenue to define the hotel strategy (in terms of business mix and pricing by season and type of day) for the future periods
  • Run daily and monthly reports and analyze the hotel(s) and rooms results and performance (e.g. average rates, occupancy rates, RevPAR).
  • Gather and analyze competitive intelligence to derive insights about the competitive environment and business trends to improve competitive decision making and further the marketing objectives
  • Proactively innovate ways to increase the hotel’s ancillary revenue
  • Monitor room inventory and strategize to improve the paid occupancy and ARR of room types
  • Survey the market and competitors in terms of performance (e.g. RevPAR Index, market penetration), pricing and availability as a basis for future tactical decisions with the Hotel(s) GMs.
  • Ensure an accurate and dynamic forecast for the future dates (by room and revenue by segment and day) based on the RM referenced systems recommendations and a daily monitoring of the data (portfolio, booking pick-up, events, and calendar events).
  • Take daily decisions to optimize the hotel turnover. Decisions in terms of pricing, inventory management (RMLs open/close), group quotation, distribution channels.
  • Ensure that recommendations are implemented in reservation and reception, and that systems (PMS, TARS, RMS) are updated accordingly.
  • Manage OTAs and ensure compliance and parity across all channels
  • Work closely with Reservations, Sales and Front Office to ensure hotel objectives are met
  • Ensure that a “RM culture” is spread in the hotel, through the animation of weekly yield and regular coaching/ training sessions for the hotel teams

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Tourism / Hotel Management or related field
  • Experience in revenue manager from 6 months to 1 year (internship or job) completed by a reception/reservation experience.
  • Hotel systems (PMS, TARS)
