Mondrian Ibiza is a sleek wonderland with 154 guest rooms and highly designed public spaces, including an expansive terrace with bay views.

Hyde Ibiza is a festival-inspired food lovers paradise and showcase for music and nightlife, featuring 401 rooms with natural textures and artisan touches.

Together the properties will have 7 restaurant and bar outlets, ranging from premium sushi and an ocean-to-table Balearic fare, all of them highly programmed.

Reporting to the General Manager. The hotels are operated by Ennismore, the fastest growing lifestyle hospitality company, in collaboration with Grupo Azul Mar Cala Llonga owned by Apollo.


Job Description

Job Purpose:

As a member of the Executive Team of the assigned hotels, the Area Director of Revenue is responsible for utilizing data sets to drive hotel revenue optimization across the customer segments of transient, group and contract for the assigned hotels. Through market segmentation data, source contribution analysis, daily pick-up reports, and pace summaries, the Area Director will monitor and evaluate market demand trends to maximize room revenue and profit associated. This position will also lead the weekly revenue management meetings, and be accountable for accurate forecasting to within +/- 3%. Additionally, this role will implement sales strategies and rate and inventory restrictions, conduct sales strategy analyses, and make solid strategy recommendations to exceed revenue goals and budgets.

Duties & Functions

  • Set and manage appropriate pricing of multiple hotels to maximize revenue from all distribution channels
  • Monitor and evaluate market demand trends, ensuring all rates are loaded and inventory maintenance is correct.
  • Head, and continue to develop Business Intelligence tools, RMS, and data sets related to the performance of the assigned hotels within Area. Utilize data sets and provide guidance to hotels for strategic decision making as it relates to pricing, sales strategy, operational performance and inventory utilization to maximize top line revenues.
  • Accurate preparation and analysis of market segmentation reports, production reports, source contribution analysis, daily pick-up reports, and pace summaries.
  • Conducts audits to guarantee sell strategy is set correctly in all channels.
  • Focus on Strategic and tactical execution of revenue principles
  • Maintain group pick-up reports and communicate with Sales regarding upcoming groups cut-offs.
  • Leads weekly revenue management meetings, and prepare Revenue Management Report information for all related meetings.
  • Monitor and analyze the competition daily / weekly through shop reports and the web to identify selling strategies and market trends.
  • Ensures that sales strategies and rate restrictions are implemented, communicated and modified as market conditions fluctuate.
  • Conducts sales strategy analyses and refines as appropriate to increase RevPAR index.
  • Effectively manages all distribution channels (OTA’s, Ennismore.com, GDS, ALL.com, CRO).
  • Makes solid strategy recommendations to exceed revenue goals and budgets.
  • Uses all available tools and resources to determine, implement and control selling strategies.
  • Communicates Ennismore and brand initiatives, demand and market analyses to hotel management, sales team and other stakeholders.
  • Leads the annual budgeting and pricing process.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the hotel teams.
  • Communicate with employees using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information.
  • Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations serving as a role model for team and other employees. Interact with other department personnel and venue staff as needed.
  • Make decisions and take actions based on previous experience and good judgment, sometimes revising procedures to accommodate unusual situations.
  • To be aware of and ensure constant compliance with all necessary operational policies including:
    • Health and Safety
    • Food Hygiene
    • Maintenance
    • Emergency Procedures
    • Liquor Licensing

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

  • Attend mandatory meetings including divisional meetings, staff meetings, etc.
  • Participate in community events and ensure corporate social responsibility goals of Ennismore are met.
  • Utilize traditional software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), Micros, ADP, Open Table, SevenRooms and any departmental specific systems used.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Ensure confidential documents are kept in a secured area.
  • When disposing confidential documents that contain any personally identifiable information, they must be shredded or pulverized.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Ownership or Corporate Offices.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire Team Members to meet and exceed standards.
  • Ensure that all staff follows and are in compliance with Ennismore’s policies and procedures.

OTHER DUTIES

Assimilate into Ennismore’s culture through understanding, supporting and participating in all Ennismore elements. Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards.

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Ennismore from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

 

  • Expert level knowledge of forecasting and interpreting/analyzing results to plan and conducting budgetary analysis, presentation and delivery.
  • Extensive knowledge of sales skills, revenue management, recruiting, supervising, training and motivating managers.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer requirements and translating these into revenue solutions.
  • Ability to be assertive and persuasive without being aggressive.
  • Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action.
  • Strong organizational skills including follow up, time management, ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Considerable skill in math and algebraic equations using percentages.
  • Demonstrated Expertise in B.I. Technologies
  • Demonstrated expertise in Power BI and other related Data visualization software packages
  • Demonstrated Expertise in ACCOR based software such as TARS, myAHDESK, Welcome Now, will be an asset.

  • Experience managing luxury brands.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when performing work duties that may have the potential of risk to your health or safety. The restaurant will provide the required PPE. Team members will be trained in the proper use and care of any assigned PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your Manager.

Requires ability to lift large and heavy packages and boxes and to the ability to load and unload small and large boxes as needed. Must have ability to safely lift minimum of 50 lbs. without assistance and to push and pull up to 150 lbs. with appropriate equipment.

What you’ll do…

  • Assist in daily housekeeping operations, including room inspections and inventory management.
  • Support the front desk with guest check-ins, check-outs, and reservations.
  • Provide personalized guest services, responding to inquiries and requests promptly.
  • Collaborate with the Guest Experience team to organize and coordinate special guest activities and events.
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the property.
  • Address guest complaints or issues, ensuring swift and efficient resolution.
  • Help manage guest feedback and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with the coordination of housekeeping schedules and staff shifts.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings to develop knowledge of hotel operations.
  • Work closely with different departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

EDUCATION

Four-year college degree from an accredited institution; Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Management, or similar discipline preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive revenue management experience in managing multiple hotels, with a proven track record of delivering market-leading results and innovative solutions.

Meeting and exceeding budgeted revenues, ensuring that the Hotels’ RevPAR indexes are maintained or enhanced.

Maintaining the integrity of the hotels yield chain.

Must possess superior analytical and interpersonal skills; sound knowledge of the discipline of Revenue

Management; in-depth knowledge of reservations and sales and marketing, including the Global Distribution Network; working knowledge of hotel financial statements; and excellent writing/presentation skills.

Opera experience preferred.  Must be highly proficient with Excel
