Boasting over 373 rooms, vibrant food and beverage experiences, and extensive leisure amenities, including professional-grade AFL and NRL fields, the resort delivers an exceptional balance of lifestyle, relaxation and large‑scale hospitality.

The Sunshine Coast Convention Centre sits at the heart of the property, welcoming conferences and events of up to 1,400 delegates and reinforcing the resort’s standing as a leading events destination.

With a $20 million refurbishment currently underway and scheduled across guest rooms and key spaces, the resort is entering a significant phase of renewal - offering a rare opportunity for a Resort Manager to drive change whilst elevating the guest experience, leading the business through its next stage of growth.

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Resort Manager to lead the resort's overall performance, drive operational change, financial performance and deliver outstanding guest experiences across all areas of the business.

Reporting to the Portfolio General Manager, this is a highly visible, hands‑on leadership role that requires strong commercial capability, operational depth and the ability to motivate and develop a large, diverse team. You will be accountable for both the direction and day‑to‑day positioning of the resort. Ensuring all departments perform at the highest level and that we continue to break new frontiers in coastal opportunities.

This position is pivotal in leading transformation, building strong stakeholder partnerships and ensuring the resort’s continued success through our leaders in a dynamic and competitive market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive a leadership-first and transformation‑focused team
  • Control and influence the resort's positioning, performance and financial outcomes
  • Drive sustainable revenue growth and profitability through a disciplined and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Provide and foster visible, sustainable people growth with inspiring leadership while building capability, engagement and a high‑performance culture
  • Delivering strong commercial results, exceptional guest experiences and a people-first positioning
  • Lead major strategic initiatives and change programs, including refurbishment delivery and business transformation
  • Champion and own Accor brand standards, service excellence and guest experience innovation across the resort
  • Act as a visible ambassador for the resort within the local community and broader market

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience as a Resort Manager, Hotel Manager, or General Manager
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with a proven, sustainable, results‑driven mindset
  • Proven ability to lead and develop large, diverse teams within complex operations
  • Experience managing owner and senior stakeholder relationships
  • Broad operational expertise across rooms, food & beverage, events and people growth positioning
  • Ability to drive and inspire change leadership whilst achieving a performance and people-first improvement culture
  • Proven capability to lead change, transformation, and continuous improvement
  • Experience managing a resort or large-scale property is highly regarded
