Job Description

  • Manage the day to day operations of the reservations department, to ensure that efficiency and productivity are at their best
  • Ensuring that quality of reservation is maintained in terms of guest details, rates, payment methods etc.
  • Planning and using efficient organizational skills to run the daily operation.
  • Develop & maintain an induction & training kit for new and current staff that include all facets of the reservations department  & hotel configuration & facilities with a strong focus on the sales process, USP’s, selling techniques & up-selling and that each member is regularly assessed and given further development if required
  • Ensure the team maintains a comprehensive knowledge of all room types, room & hotel facilities, promotions and be able to communicate this in a highly professional manner
  • Monitor test calls conducted by third party providing feedback on sales techniques, rates, products & other information
  • Prepares efficient work schedules, approve leaves and plan for vacation as per business demand
  • Develop & maintain individual departmental check lists to ensure that all routine tasks are completed
  • Assisting the Revenue Manager, for preparing necessary reports, documents and for other tasks might be required by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in reservations management within the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in reservation management software and familiarity with point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
