Regional IT Engineer

Purpose

The Regional IT Engineer is responsible for supporting and enabling hotel IT systems within the Accor managed hotel portfolios. The role ensures that all hotel IT environments align with Accor corporate technology standards while meeting the operational requirements of individual hotels. Key focus areas include BAU IT Assistance, BAU IT Maintenance, and IT Project Delivery. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct monthly patching and system health checks to maintain IT infrastructure reliability and performance.
  • Reporting: Prepare and deliver monthly reports to General Managers outlining system status and recommendations for improvements.
  • Change Management: Log all system changes and upgrades in WelcomeNow to ensure compliance with change control policies.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date site documentation in Confluence, including as-built diagrams and end-user information.
  • Project Support: Assist the Project Management and CTS teams with IT implementations and rollouts across the region.
  • BAU IT Assistance: Provide Level 2 support, both remotely and onsite, to ensure timely resolution of hotel IT issues.
  • Training: Deliver ongoing training to hotel staff on IT systems, basic troubleshooting, and case logging procedures.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with the CTS team and hotel management to assess new system requirements and ensure alignment with Accor IT standards.

 

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar IT engineering or field support role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Server and Desktop Operating Systems.
  • Experience with PMS and POS systems in a hospitality environment (highly desirable).
  • Exposure to IT project management is advantageous.
  • Ability to create accurate as-built documentation and user guides.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with hotel stakeholders at various IT skill levels.
  • High level of face-to-face interaction with General Managers and hotel teams.
  • Flexible to accommodate alternating schedules, including occasional after-hours work.
