As the Quality Manager of Novotel Amsterdam City, you are the driving force behind the quality, appearance, and service experience of our hotel. With 610 rooms, more than 1,000 m² of meeting space, and extensive public areas, you are ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both our guests and colleagues.

You are at the heart of our operation, acting as the vital link between Novotel Amsterdam City and our external housekeeping partner. With eye for detail, coaching leadership style, and focus on continuous improvement, you ensure that our quality standards are exceeded every day.


Job Description

What will you do?
As Quality Manager, you are responsible for the quality and appearance of both the interior and exterior of our hotel. You will lead a team of approximately 15 colleagues.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the operational activities of the Housekeeping department;
  • Conducting quality checks in order to ensure the Novotel standards are maintained;
  • Analyzing results, trends, and quality metrics and translating them into improvement initiatives;
  • Monitoring and improving cleanliness scores and operational targets;
  • Preparing periodic and daily schedules;
  • Building and maintaining strong partnerships with our external housekeeping provider and suppliers;
  • Creating a positive working environment where teamwork, respect, and hospitality are at the core of everything we do.

Qualifications

Who are you?
You are a true people manager who enjoys developing others and improving processes. You know how to bring teams together, maintain oversight in a dynamic environment, and take ownership when needed.

In addition, you recognize yourself in the following profile:

  • Bachelor's degree level of thinking and working, preferably in Hospitality;
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience within an operational department;
  • Results-driven with a strong focus on processes and continuous improvement;
  • Strong analytical skills, the ability to measure and manage performance against targets;
  • An inspiring and coaching leader who creates a great team atmosphere, is able to connect, and is always ready to support the team.
