Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic People & Culture Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to lead the culture for a well-established, high performing and driven team while working collaboratively with the rest of the Resort’s leadership team.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Establish and deliver the Resort’s People and Culture strategy, identifying areas for development and improvements;
  • Be the guiding light for the workplace’s Heartist® culture, spotting each opportunity to help the team love what they do;
  • Provide support and advisory to Heads of Department for performance, development and recognition matters, ensuring their process are in line with both the strategy and Accor process;
  • Champion talent development and learning, acting as the partner between Accor Academy and managers to ensure the resources available are used to their fullest potential;
  • Industrial relations following the guidelines outlined in the Fair Work Australia Act, National Employment Standards and relevant Award or Agreement.
  • Lead and guide employee engagement activities such as reward and recognition, employee wellbeing, talent management and development activities.

Qualifications

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:

  • Previous experience in a People & Culture / Human Resources leadership role, preferably within hotels, resorts or hospitality;
  • A competent, experienced, and passionate leader in employee related matters, including performance management, learning and development, and employee engagement;
  • Enthusiasm for dealing with a diverse workforce, flexible and able to embrace and respond effectively to change;
  • Exceptional eye for detail, and the ability to multi-task and communicate effectively to a variety of stakeholders;
  • Strong personal integrity;
  • Strong knowledge of human resource processes, industrial relations, Fair Work and the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2020;
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline;
  • Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator and MHFA accreditations highly regarded.

We are looking for the right person for this role, and are happy to consider part-time or flexible working arrangement requests.
