Job Description
As People & Culture Manager – Colleague Relations, you will help shape an exceptional colleague experience by partnering with leaders on employee relations, engagement, recognition, and workplace culture. Through a visible and approachable presence, you will build strong relationships and champion Fairmont's culture of care and hospitality.
This is a full-time, permanent position, starting as soon as possible.
Pay Range: $72,000 - $85,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications
Job Duties Include:
- Build strong relationships with colleagues and leaders through a visible presence across the hotel
- Serve as a trusted partner on employee relations, workplace concerns, and team success
- Coach leaders to create engaging, inclusive, and high-performing teams
- Lead investigations, conflict resolution, attendance, and performance management processes
- Drive colleague engagement, recognition, and culture-building initiatives
- Lead Employee Engagement Survey action planning and continuous improvement efforts
- Use colleague insights and workforce trends to enhance retention and engagement
- Ensure compliance with Fairmont standards and BC employment legislation
- Help create an exceptional workplace experience that supports outstanding guest experiences
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Human Resources or People & Culture experience, ideally within hospitality or a service-focused environment
- Proven success supporting employee relations and coaching leaders
- Strong understanding of BC employment legislation and HR best practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust at all levels
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential matters
- Organized, solutions-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced operation
- Passionate about engagement, culture, and creating exceptional colleague experiences
