Job Description

Under the general guidance of the Director of People & Culture, assist in ensuring a variety of Human Resources functions. He/she is also responsible for timely completion of paperwork, the understanding and enforcement of company policies, and assisting with benefits, workmen’s compensation, and employee engagement.

Duties & Functions:

  • Support day to day process in Human Resources and assist the Director of People & Culture in coaching and counseling, recruiting, scheduling interviews, training of HR system, Benefits on-boarding,
  •  Assist in reward and recognition programs
  • Oversee all employee relations and labor-related matters as they relate to Federal, State and local employment and civil rights laws, including, but not limited to, Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, Equal Pay Act, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, workers’ compensation and comparable state and local laws, and general human and civil rights
  • Maintain Employee files, scan and upload to HR Systems
  • Manage termination checklist and unemployment compensation
  • Administer insurance benefits, explain benefits, assist with completion of enrollment and answer benefit questions
  • Be knowledgeable about available employee benefits and answer questions regarding 401K Plan, vacation and benefits (insured and noninsured).
  • Compile Turnover Report, and update Corporate Metric Report.
  • Update employment sight as needed. Schedule interviews and check references and process background checks.
  • Respond to unemployment claims, communicate with Corporate Cost Control.
  • Process PO as needed as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain Leave of Absence employee communication.
  • Process paperwork for terminations, files and checklist.
  • Participate in the Security Safety Committee.

Qualifications

  • College Degree in Business, Hospitality, or Related field preferred
  • Two to four years of human resources experience or operations management preferred
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
  • Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relations

Additional Information

Assimilate into Ennismore’s culture through understanding, supporting, and participating in all Ennismore elements. Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Ennismore from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
