- Oversee all hotel operations during the night as the manager on duty
- Manage night audit process, including financial reconciliation and reporting
- Handle front desk operations: check ins, check outs, guest requests, and complaints
- Ensure accuracy of all postings, room rates, and accounts in Opera
- Conduct regular security walks and ensure safety of guests, staff, and property
- Perform light cleaning and ensure public areas are well maintained
- Assist with guest needs, including luggage and late arrivals
- Identify and report maintenance or safety issues
- Prepare reports and ensure a smooth handover to the morning team
- Collaborate with other departments to address any discrepancies or concerns
- Support the front desk team with administrative tasks as needed
- Support basic housekeeping tasks and maintain presentation of the hotel
- Support night operations to ensure smooth handover to the morning team
This role is Full-Time (Guaranteed 30 hours per week), must hold full NZ working rights.
- Liquor license controller qualification and General manager Certificate required.
- Previous experience in hotel front office operations, ideally as Night Auditor or similar
- Strong knowledge of Opera PMS and hotel systems advantageous
- Good computer skills, including Excel and general system use
- Strong attention to detail, especially with financial reconciliation
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions during overnight shifts
- Good time management and ability to multitask
- Flexible with overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays
