    Job Description

    • The Night Auditor is a multi-role position and is responsible handling aspects of the Front Office, assisting both internal and external guests in an efficient and friendly manner.
    • Reconcile necessary accounts and functions in preparation for the next business day, and efficiently and accurately balance all Rooms and Food and Beverage charges during audit.
    • Provide effective, fast service in a friendly manner.
    • Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly.
    • Answer incoming calls and communicate to other departments as required.
    • Review and prepare for VIP and ALL loyalty members arrivals to ensure flawless check-in experience.
    • Check in and out hotel guests according to standards and policies.
    • Monitor for special rates and billing arrangements.
    • Keep front desk organized, tidied, and sanitized up to ALL Safe policies.
    • Ensure front desk is stocked with essential material.
    • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Hotel grooming standards.
    • Pass on any guest comments to Night Manager or delegates.
    • Serve as an information source primarily regarding the Hotel.
    • Ensure guest security by proper handling of guest room keys and personal information according to set policies.
    • Aware of all emergency procedures.
    • In the course of normal duties, to observe, report, or take immediate corrective action on deficiencies, malfunctions, and untidiness.
    • Run audit reports from Opera PMS ensuring accuracy.
    • Review Daily Outlet Totals from Point-of-Sale System and balance daily revenue.
    • Keep accurate financial records and backups.
    • Balances, reconciles and settles all bank credit cards.
    • Perform any other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Solid knowledge of Front Office, Night Audit and Accounting Procedures.
    • Working knowledge of Oracle Property Management Systems or similar.
    • Working knowledge of Silverware POS or similar Food and Beverage system.
    • Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel.
    • Minimum two years previous experience as a Night Auditor or Reception Agent, ideally in 500+key property
    • Ability to work calmly under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Must be passionate about guest service.
    • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and detail oriented.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Team player.
    • Typing speed of 50 wpm.
    • Ability to work overnight shifts with flexible weekly schedule.
    • Previous accounting experience would be an asset.
    • Hotel/Hospitality degree or diploma an asset.

    Physical Aspects of Position (included but not limited to):

    • Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
    • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
    • Constant kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
    • Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
