Job Description

About the Role

As our full-time Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead the day-to-day operation of the maintenance team, providing support, technical guidance and ensuring our iconic 60+ year old property is maintained to the highest standard. You will also:

  • Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across hotel facilities and systems.
  • Respond quickly to maintenance requests to minimise downtime and guest disruption.
  • Supervise and support the maintenance team in daily operations.
  • Assist with safety and compliance checks including fire systems, emergency lighting and plant inspections.
  • Coordinate contractors and ensure work is completed safely and to brand standards.
  • Support sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives across the hotel.
  • Work closely with Housekeeping, Front Office and other departments to maintain smooth hotel operations.
  • Assist with maintenance reporting, rostering and ongoing improvement projects.

This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance leader who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in their work and thrives in a fast-paced hotel environment.


Qualifications

Your keys to success in this role include: 

  • Previous experience in general maintenance, ideally within hotels, hospitality or large commercial properties.
  • Strong technical knowledge across electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general building maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to support and motivate a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A solid understanding of workplace health, safety and compliance requirements.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays as required.
