Job Description

What you will be doing:

  • This position is responsible for all maintenance issues within the Hotel and to deliver an excellent guest experience while performing daily checks, repairing equipment, and coordinating projects.
  • Assist the Chief Engineering with managing projects including repairs and replacement of plant and equipment including plumbing, air-conditioning, and electrical.
  • Manage contractor work requests, inductions and follow up on all work assigned.
  • Implement systems to manage risk and environmental impact effectively.
  • Train and develop members of the maintenance / engineering team.
  • Prioritise job requests, assign tasks to the team and follow up on completed jobs as required.

Qualifications

  • Superior problem solving skills; 
  • Flexible work attitude; 
  • Excellent customer service skills;  
  • Strong desire to work in a service focussed environment with a pro-active approach;
  • Leadership and communication skills (verbal, written, and computer);
  • Knowledge of Work Health and Safety regulations;
  • Self-motivated approach and interest to developing yourself through courses
