Job Description

The Lead Concierge is responsible for the day to day supervision of the Concierge Department. Responsibilities include reservations for all activities, restaurants, transportation and spa treatments.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leading day to day operations of the Concierge desk in an efficient manner
  • Working on the floor during peak coverage times
  • Expert level knowledge of the Hotel, all its outlets, its layout and services
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of local attractions, activities, events and trends to enhance guest experiences.
  • Current expert level knowledge of Banff National Park, activities and dining options
  • Daily Supervision of up to 5 staff
  • Prioritize and delegate day-to-day tasks to subordinates
  • Department inventory control
  • Able to train all positions within the Concierge department and Bell department
  • Create and conduct performance reviews with the assistance of the Guest Services Management and monitor progress
  • Calculate commissions for the department
  • Able to complete any duty or responsibility of the Bellman or Doorman as needed
  • Designing and implementing new hotel activities and tours

Qualifications

  • Post Secondary in Hospitality/Tourism an asset
  • Minimum 2 years of hotel experience
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 Drivers License & Clean abstract
  • Class 4 license an asset
  • Ability to speak a second language an asset
