As our IT Manager, you will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure that technology solutions align with the hotel's objectives, providing a robust, secure, and efficient IT environment. Additionally, this role will involve proactive troubleshooting, optimising system performance, and implementing upgrades to enhance both guest and staff experiences, ensuring the hotel's technology infrastructure supports our commitment to delivering luxury service.

What you will do

• Collaborate with the pre-opening project team to define and implement the hotel’s IT strategy and infrastructure;
• Assist in planning, procuring, and installing all hardware, software, and network systems required for a fully operational Hotel, Spa, Outlets, and Offices;
• Establish IT policies, procedures, and security protocols in alignment with Sofitel standards;
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and successful system deployments;
• Conduct system tests, troubleshooting, and quality assurance prior to the hotel opening;
• Train key staff members on IT systems, processes, and tools to ensure readiness for operations;
• Ensure smooth and efficient IT operations, providing timely support across all departments;
• Perform regular system audits to identify unauthorized software, misconfigurations, or security vulnerabilities;
• Assist with hardware and software evaluations and determine installation or upgrade schedules;
• Administer, maintain, and support network and server systems for all Hotel, Spa, Outlets, and Offices, ensuring seamless integration of all components;
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and server issues, ensuring optimal system performance;
• Conduct performance and capacity analyses, recommending improvements when necessary;
• Stay up-to-date with new releases of network and server software, ensuring Sofitel’s IT infrastructure remains cutting-edge.

What you will bring

• Strong knowledge of network administration, cybersecurity, and systems integration;
• Proven experience in managing IT projects from conception through to completion;
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure;
• Strong communication in English and Portuguese and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferable;
• Experience in a hotel environment is desirable with experience in Opera, SharePoint and POS systems.
