As our Housekeeping Supervisor, you’ll be hands-on, visible and close to the action. You’ll support the Executive Housekeeper, lead the team on the floor and make sure every detail is delivered to the right standard, every day.

You don’t just check rooms — you help create a place guests want to come back to.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

🧼 Cleanliness Champion

• Supervise the daily cleaning and presentation of guest rooms and public areas.
• Conduct room and public area inspections to ensure Mama’s standards are consistently met.
• Ensure housekeeping procedures, hygiene and safety standards are followed.

👥 Team Leader & Coach

• Supervise, support and motivate the housekeeping team throughout the shift.
• Allocate daily tasks and ensure colleagues have the tools and information they need to deliver great work.
• Coach team members and provide feedback to support their development.

⚡ Daily Operations Expert

• Coordinate room assignments, priorities and workload based on occupancy and operational requirements.
• Work closely with Front Office to ensure room status is accurate and rooms are released on time.
• Liaise with Engineering on maintenance issues and follow up to ensure rooms are returned to service promptly.

🛎️ Quality & Guest Experience

• Respond promptly to guest requests and housekeeping-related concerns.
• Follow up on VIP rooms, special requests and any specific guest requirements.
• Help resolve issues quickly while keeping the guest experience at the centre.

📦 Stock & Inventory Support

• Monitor linen, amenities and cleaning supplies and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Support appropriate stock control and minimise wastage.

🤝 Collaboration Champion

• Maintain strong communication with Front Office, Engineering and other departments.
• Ensure clear handovers between shifts so nothing gets missed.

• You have previous housekeeping experience in a hotel environment, ideally within lifestyle, luxury or design-led hospitality.
• You have supervisory experience and enjoy being hands-on with your team.
• You have a sharp eye for detail and genuinely care about cleanliness and presentation.
• You’re organised, proactive and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• You’re approachable, supportive and confident leading a diverse team.
• You’re guest-focused and comfortable handling requests and concerns professionally.
• You communicate clearly and work well across departments.
• You take pride in your work and lead by example.

WORK AUTHORISATION 🌍

• Applicants must already hold valid work rights/work authorisation for South Africa. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the country where the role is based.
