Job Description
The responsibilities and essential job functions of the Hostess role include but are not limited to the following:
- Provides a friendly and personalized welcome for guests
- Offers attentive service and adapts to any constraints guests may have
- Heeds any remarks made by guests and ensures follow-up
- Establishes good relations with guests, offering advice and fostering customer loyalty
- Prepares the welcome desk and seat allocation.
- Takes the reservations and maintains reservation book
- Welcomes guests and provides the best seats available
- Cleans and tidies the restaurant and preparation after closing
- Before every work shift, finds out about dish composition and any shortages
- Organizes his/her work to suit business demands, events, and guest preferences
- Ensures the equipment used remains in good condition.
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Good command of written and spoken English communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities are essentials.
- Having Hotel Restaurant experience is an advantage
- Guest oriented, service minded and attention to quality
- Detail oriented having good sales acumen
- Dynamic and presentable at all times
