We're seeking a Head Chef to join our dynamic team and take charge of our restaurant, kitchen, and catering operations. As a Head Chef, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction while driving sustainable profitability.
Position Overview:
As the Head Chef, you'll be the driving force behind the day-to-day management of our kitchen team, overseeing food preparation, menu innovation, and implementation. Your leadership will be instrumental in maximizing food and beverage profitability while maintaining top-notch quality and service standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire the kitchen team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences.
- Manage restaurant, room service, bar, and conference food service operations.
- Create innovative menu designs that cater to diverse tastes and preferences.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in the kitchen.
- Foster a positive work environment focused on learning and personal development.
- Coordinate with other departments to enhance communication and collaboration.
Financial Responsibilities:
- Conduct costings on menu items and maintain food costs within budgeted levels.
- Coordinate daily food requirements and purchasing to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Assist in the development of annual business plans and financial budgets.
- Proactively control costs while upholding quality standards.
Talent & Culture Responsibilities:
- Establish ongoing on-the-job training programs to uphold brand and service standards.
- Induct and mentor new staff to ensure adherence to standards and procedures.
- Utilize guest feedback to continuously improve product and service delivery.
- Foster open communication to meet daily operational demands.
Health & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Report any hazards, incidents, or injuries promptly.
- Maintain standards of hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with regulations.
Customer Relations:
- Provide efficient, friendly, and professional service to all guests.
- Lead by example in attending to guest requests and ensuring total customer satisfaction.
- Actively promote special promotions and facilities available within the hotel.
Other:
- Take responsibility for completing tasks accurately and within deadlines.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and standards.
