Novotel Sydney Parramatta is looking for enthusiastic & passionate Handyperson join our team on a part-time basis.

Our 194 room Hotel is in the heart of Parramatta, home to some of Sydney’s best dining, shopping and entertainment venues. Plus, with a brand-new light rail under construction and ‘Eat Street’ activation, this is the place you want to be!


Job Description

This role is a Part Time Fixed Term 6-month contract with the possibility to extend. We are looking for a Handyperson who enjoys completing a variety of tasks each day. This role requires you to maintain the building and ensure a pleasant and safe environment for all guests, visitors and colleagues.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is responsible for:

  • Undertaking general repairs and maintenance as well as preventative maintenance throughout the Hotel.
  • Complete daily plant rounds and servicing of plant and general equipment as directed.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained, used, and stored correctly.
  • Carry out maintenance requirements and follow up as scheduled by the Property management System (PMS).
  • Assist in keeping up-to-date records on the repair and maintenance of plant and equipment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone driven & wanting to learn that has;

  • The drive to work hard and get your hands dirty
  • The ability to work both unsupervised and in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to working rotating shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
  • Good organisational and multitasking skills
