The Hoxton, Downtown LA is in a neighborhood that has seen a major revival over the last few years, with some of the city’s best restaurants, shops and bars. The Hoxton, Downtown LA offers 174 rooms designed by Ennismore Design Studio, a ground floor restaurant with exciting culinary partners, along with The Hoxton’s first rooftop pool with restaurant and amazing views over Broadway, the historic commercial, theatre and cinema district and one of the oldest streets in the city.


Job Description

You’ll be based out of The Hoxton, Downtown LA and reporting to the Front Office Manager. As Guest Service Supervisor, you’ll be supporting the Front Office and Reception operation to ensure a successful managing the day to day post opening.  

We’re not really a strict job description kind of place – we all roll our sleeves up and get stuck in wherever needed – but here's an idea of how we see the role... 

Responsibilities:

  • Cover Overnight Guest Services Manager shifts as a Supervisor on Duty and Night Auditor on the overnight shifts. 
  • Lead team by example and help them feel empowered and supported. Report any training needs to Front Office Manager. 
  • We’re in it together – you’ll work closely with the Front Office and Restaurants and Bars teams to make sure the overall operation is running smoothly.  
  • Proactively keep an eye on all of our public area spaces. 
  • Ensure all guests are quoted the correct rate as per the selling strategy and website. 
  • To maintain observation over guests and guests property to ensure alerts are kept to a minimum. 
  • To report any maintenance issues to the correct department and check to ensure the work has been completed. 
  • Maintain a positive and friendly attitude at all times, even when working to achieve solutions to challenges.

Qualifications

About You:

  • Luxury Experience: Proven experience in a luxury hospitality environment, demonstrating a strong ability to provide sophisticated and discreet service.
  • Exceptional Skills: Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, with a refined approach to guest interactions and service delivery.
  • Operational Knowledge: Proficient in luxury hotel operations and management software, with a deep understanding of sophisticated service protocols.
  • Educational Background: Relevant educational qualifications, such as a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience, preferred.
  • Great Personality: At The Hoxton, personality and experience are equally valued. We celebrate individuality and authenticity—we want you to bring your unique self.
