Company Description

We are looking for a Group Sales Manager to join the re-opening of the famed Delano Miami Beach.

Set to open its doors in 2025, Delano Miami Beach will fuse historic charm with contemporary luxury, reflecting a reimagined experience that pays homage to the original visionary concept. Comprising 170 rooms and distinct food and beverage concepts, the hotel will preserve its iconic walk-in pool and, in addition, unveil a new pool on an amenity deck, offering breathtaking views of the ocean. Delano Miami Beach will act as the brand’s flagship location, re-establishing Delano as a trailblazer in luxury lifestyle hospitality. Ennismore, in partnership with Cain International (the owners of Delano Miami Beach as well as partner in the Delano brand), are currently undertaking a significant renovation and redevelopment of the iconic Delano hotel with an aim to open its doors again ahead of the 2025 winter high season.


Job Description

Under the general guidance of the Director of Sales, the Group Sales Manager is responsible for driving group revenue through proactive business development, strategic account management, and effective sales execution. This role is about more than meeting targets it’s about creating meaningful, memorable group experiences that reflect the brand’s elevated standards. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of strategic insight, operational excellence, and refined hospitality. Comfortable managing group programs of all sizes and complexities, this individual excels at navigating the expectations of a discerning clientele. With a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of luxury service, the Group Sales Manager plays a critical role in elevating the guest experience while contributing to the property's overall revenue and reputation.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively identify and secure group business through all stages of the sales cycle from initial inquiry and tailored proposal development to contracting, event execution, and post program review.
  • Collaborate closely with Food & Beverage, Operations, and Creative Services teams to deliver transformative group experiences aligned with Delano’s brand ethos.
  • Develop and implement seasonal group sales strategies aligned with business demand calendars and revenue optimization targets.
  • Represent the property at key global industry events, curated cultural activations, and high-profile showcases to strengthen brand visibility and attract new business.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for complex, multi-faceted group events, ensuring seamless coordination and exceptional client service.
  • Conduct detailed site inspections that merge operational precision with immersive storytelling to inspire and convert prospective clients.
  • Monitor pipeline activity, manage revenue forecasting, and track post-event ROI using CRM and sales reporting tools.
  • Continuously analyze competitor activity, event trends, and market dynamics to evolve group offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
  • We recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service. 
  • We will on occasion call for each individual in the team to on a routine basis perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the venue teams.
  • Communicate with team members using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information.
  • Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations.
  • Make decisions and take actions based on previous experience and good judgment, sometimes revising procedures to accommodate unusual situations.

 


    Qualifications

    SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    • Three to five years of experience in luxury group sales, preferably in lifestyle, fashion, entertainment, or high-end incentives
    • Strong existing relationships with luxury planners, DMCs, and group influencers
    • Expertise in Cvent, Delphi.fdc, Salesforce, Opera, and Microsoft Office
    • Strong communicator with polished presentation skills and sales finesse
    • Ability to lead multiple complex programs with agility and strategic focus
    • Strong aesthetic sense with ability to align guest experience with brand vision
    • Travel-ready for client engagement, sales trips, and industry events
    • Possesses a gracious, professional, and approachable demeanor reflective of a luxury brand
    • Strong multitasking and organizational skills; thrives in fast-paced environments with high attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining positive interdepartmental relationships
    • Physically able to stand or walk for extended shifts (up to 8 hours or more) and respond quickly to guest or client needs
    • Must be able to lift, twist, push, pull, bend, climb, and carry objects as needed for site inspections or event prep
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be fluent in English
    • Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors, in varying conditions, based on business demand
    • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and safety laws, including equal employment opportunity, wage and hour regulations, and occupational safety compliance
    • All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Specific department  uniform guidelines and/or required articles of clothing will be explained to you by your supervisor.
