Job Description

Group Reservations Manager

In conjunction with the Director of Revenue Management and Director of Rooms, oversee the day-to-day management of Group room blocks. Establish and maintain high quality of guest service, and a consistent high rate of production and efficiency. Role reports directly to Director of Revenue Management.


What you will be doing:

  • Manage all Group blocks in Opera and Passkey to ensure that Room inventory is balanced correctly.
  • Liaise directly with all Group contacts to ensure accurate and timely management of group rooming blocks.
  • Work directly with the Conference and Catering Managers to liaise Groups rooming lists & inventory management.
  • Work directly with the Finance Department to ensure the accuracy of all group billing procedures.
  • Attend both client and internal group review meetings as directed.
  • Process all group reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received.
  • Identify guest reservation needs, determine appropriate room type, and verify availability of room type and rates as well as explaining the cancellation policies & procedures.
  • Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue.
  • Communicate information regarding designated VIP reservations.
  • Keep organized files of all groups.
  • Be flexible to work to work weekends & evenings when needed.
  • Compile and distribute the daily group arrival / brief to all necessary departments.
  • Assist with tasks assigned by Director of Revenue Management, Revenue Manager, & Director of Rooms

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent two-year college or technical school.
  • Two+ years Hotel Reservations or Revenue experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Fairmont/Accor reservation and revenue systems and procedures preferred.
  • Hotel/hospitality experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, & Outlook.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze data figures as delegated.
