Group Reservations Manager
In conjunction with the Director of Revenue Management and Director of Rooms, oversee the day-to-day management of Group room blocks. Establish and maintain high quality of guest service, and a consistent high rate of production and efficiency. Role reports directly to Director of Revenue Management.
What you will be doing:
- Manage all Group blocks in Opera and Passkey to ensure that Room inventory is balanced correctly.
- Liaise directly with all Group contacts to ensure accurate and timely management of group rooming blocks.
- Work directly with the Conference and Catering Managers to liaise Groups rooming lists & inventory management.
- Work directly with the Finance Department to ensure the accuracy of all group billing procedures.
- Attend both client and internal group review meetings as directed.
- Process all group reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received.
- Identify guest reservation needs, determine appropriate room type, and verify availability of room type and rates as well as explaining the cancellation policies & procedures.
- Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue.
- Communicate information regarding designated VIP reservations.
- Keep organized files of all groups.
- Be flexible to work to work weekends & evenings when needed.
- Compile and distribute the daily group arrival / brief to all necessary departments.
- Assist with tasks assigned by Director of Revenue Management, Revenue Manager, & Director of Rooms

Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent two-year college or technical school.
- Two+ years Hotel Reservations or Revenue experience preferred.
- Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Fairmont/Accor reservation and revenue systems and procedures preferred.
- Hotel/hospitality experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, & Outlook.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to prepare and analyze data figures as delegated.
