Rate of pay: $17.25/hour USD
This position will have direct contact will all guests. The bartender will make drinks and take and deliver food orders in a prompt and courteous manner while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency. The bartender must enjoy working outside in a fast-paced atmosphere.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
- Follow outlet policies, procedures, opening/closing checklists and service standards
- Prepare and set up the bar as per the requirement
- Assist with ordering, restocking the inventory list.
- Assists with bar inventory on a monthly basis
- Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions
- Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of bar top, tables, and service areas
- Responsible for correctly handling cash, credit and comp procedures and properly completing paperwork
- Serving alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations.
- Follow the Food safety and sanitation policies of food and beverage department.
- Is aware about the food and beverage offerings in the store and general awareness on the offerings throughout the resort.
- Performing other duties or projects, as needed
- Completion of side work as assigned by Manager or Captain.
- Other related duties as assigned by Manager.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Food Handlers card required
- RBS certification required
- Previous service experience an asset
- Previous point of sale system experience an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
