Job Description

Rate of pay: $17.25/hour USD

This position will have direct contact will all guests. The bartender will make drinks and take and deliver food orders in a prompt and courteous manner while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency. The bartender must enjoy working outside in a fast-paced atmosphere.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
  • Follow outlet policies, procedures, opening/closing checklists and service standards
  • Prepare and set up the bar as per the requirement
  • Assist with ordering, restocking the inventory list.
  • Assists with bar inventory on a monthly basis
  • Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions
  • Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of bar top, tables, and service areas
  • Responsible for correctly handling cash, credit and comp procedures and properly completing paperwork
  • Serving alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations. 
  • Follow the Food safety and sanitation policies of food and beverage department.
  • Is aware about the food and beverage offerings in the store and general awareness on the offerings throughout the resort.
  • Performing other duties or projects, as needed
  • Completion of side work as assigned by Manager or Captain.
  • Other related duties as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Food Handlers card required
  • RBS certification required
  • Previous service experience an asset
  • Previous point of sale system experience an asset
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
