Peppers Marysville is seeking an exceptional General Manager. This unique opportunity allows you to lead a passionate team in delivering exceptional experiences amidst Marysville's picturesque charm.
Reporting to the Portfolio General Manager for the Accor - Shakespeare Property Group, this role is for a leader who genuinely wants to make a difference in people's lives, both from a team perspective and in driving exceptional hotel performance.
As General Manager, you will leverage visionary leadership to foster excellence, elevate guest satisfaction whilst optimising operational and financial performance. We are seeking a seasoned leader who embodies Peppers Marysville's ethos: refined indulgence, attention to detail, and excellent personalised food and wine experiences. This is a fabulous opportunity for a General Manager with proven experience to autonomously lead and drive success across our boutique Hotel.
Please note this position is a live-on-site role, providing accommodation at the Hotel as part of the employment package.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead overall management and strategic direction of Peppers Marysville, aligning with brand standards and owner objectives.
Cultivate strong relationships with guests, owners, suppliers, and the local community, acting as a local ambassador.
Drive operational efficiency and service excellence across all departments.
Maximise hotel profitability through astute financial management, strategic forecasting, and proactive revenue generation with an entrepreneurial sales spirit.
Champion employee engagement and a collaborative, inclusive environment, demonstrating a strong team-driven and development mindset.
Oversee and support successful Sales and M&E revenue optimisation strategies.
Be a hands-on operator, actively involved in daily operations for seamless service delivery.
A qualification in hotel management, hospitality management, commerce, or business administration would be highly regarded.
About You
We are seeking a proactive, driven, and passionate individual who is commercially astute and possesses the following:
Previous General Manager experience is required, preferably within a boutique hotel environment.
A proven proactive commercial leader with strategic vision and success in driving business performance and KPIs.
A passion for driving and delivering the commercial aspects of M&E through revenue optimisation.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team through one on one and team mentorship.
Ability to deliver creative and innovative service experiences.
Clear communication, adept at building impactful relationships.
A natural ability to foster positive owner relationships.
Proven track record in driving sustainable profitability through key financial metrics including revenue growth, RevPAR, GOP, and overall owner returns in a regional location.
Resilient and adaptable, capable of navigating challenges with a solution-oriented approach.
Community-minded, eager to integrate the hotel within the local fabric of Marysville.
