For meetings and events, Novotel Melbourne Glen Waverley provides 8 event spaces that accommodate up to 300 delegates. Meze Restaurant and Bar offers a contemporary twist on Middle Eastern, Indian, and international classics using fresh, simple ingredients to create bold, unique flavours.
We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead and drive continued success at Novotel Melbourne Glen Waverley. This key role calls for an experienced hospitality professional dedicated to delivering outstanding guest experiences and strong business results. As the hotel’s leader and brand ambassador, you will apply your operational expertise and commercial acumen to lead a skilled team of Heartists® in a vibrant metropolitan environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all operational aspects of the hotel, ensuring departments consistently achieve and exceed performance targets.
- Develop and execute strategic plans that drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and elevated guest satisfaction.
- Champion proactive sales and marketing initiatives to maximise occupancy, revenue, and market share.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of dedicated Heartists to foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and the local community to enhance the hotel’s reputation and business opportunities.
- Drive a supportive, inclusive, and engaging workplace environment to nurture employee development and retention.
A qualification in hotel management, hospitality management, commerce or business administration would be highly regarded.
About You
- Minimum of 5 years’ senior leadership experience in hospitality, ideally within a full-service hotel environment, with demonstrable success in operations, revenue management, and team leadership.
- Proven ability to drive business results with strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and profit optimisation.
- Skilled in managing complex stakeholder relationships and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Inspirational leader with excellent communication skills, capable of fostering an engaged and motivated team.
- Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong commitment to Accor’s values and culture.
