Job Description

As General Manager, you'll drive Novotel Brussels Airport's success, overseeing all operations, to maximize profitability and guest satisfaction. You'll set and execute strategic plans across all departments, meeting financial and brand goals. Key responsibilities include sales development with airlines and local corporations, leveraging your F&B expertise for diverse business periods and MICE. You'll analyze profitability, P&L, and implement action plans.

As a natural coach, you'll foster talent, manage labor relations, promote team well-being, and engage with the community. You'll lead a diverse team to optimize service and guest satisfaction. This role requires strong interpersonal, financial, and analytical skills, representing the hotel to owners and Accor. Knowledge of Belgian legislation is essential.

You will be responsible for:

Leading the business

  • Provide strategic leadership to achieve operational targets.
  • Maximize profitability and manage financials effectively, with P&L expertise.
  • Develop sales strategies for airlines, airport authorities, and local corporations.
  • Ensure compliance with operating controls, policies, and Belgian legislation.

Building your team

  • Lead recruitment and champion employee engagement and well-being.
  • Manage labor relations and cultivate community relationships.

Driving service culture

  • Elevate product and service quality, especially in F&B during all periods.
  • Promote the brand, ensuring Novotel standards and MICE commercial understanding.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • The position is offered for a fulltime employment
  • Prior experience as General Manager in a hotel is essential
  • Proven experience in leading a dynamic team with an informal working culture and where roles were multi-skilled
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or hospitality management or equivalent
  • Fluent in English, French, and Dutch is highly desirable.
  • Good analytical skills, you know how to set-up, measure and steer the right KPIs, particularly for sales and F&B.
  • Experience with owners and managers relationships and multi-stakeholder management.
  • Proven sales acumen, particularly in managing primary sectors like airlines and airport authorities.
  • Knowledge of Belgian legislation relevant to hotel operations and labor.
  • An approachable and sales-oriented personality.
