Job Description

We are looking for an experienced talent with former General Manager experience and a background in premium hospitality, ideally with resort experience, to lead the operations of a five-star family resort under the MÖVENPICK brand at Lake Balaton in Hungary. This unique property offers 109 rooms, a restaurant & bar, spa & wellness facilities, private beach and entertainment areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Successful management of a five-star family resort in the region of Balaton, Szántód, operated under Mövenpick brand via Hotel Management Agreement.
  • Strengthen the hotel’s market position and set Accor’s footprint in the Balaton region.
  • Plan and manage the operations of the hotel to achieve customer (guests, talents, corporate, owner) satisfaction and quality service while meeting / exceeding financial goals. 

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Hotel General Manager position
  • Premium / Luxury experience
  • Strong operational background
  • Outstanding sales acumen, commercial mindset
  • Resort experience is a competitive advantage
  • Fluency in English language
  • Hungarian language knowledge is a competitive advantage
  • Ability to manage relationship with owner and manager in the frame of Hotel Management Agreement
  • Leadership, autonomy
  • Service and quality minded character
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to create positive, effective and sustainable working relationships at all levels
