Novotel Surfers Paradise features 408 well-appointed rooms, located in the heart of iconic Surfers Paradise and our beautiful beaches.  Featuring a variety of dining options including: The Restaurant, Blvd Café and Bar, Pool bar, in-room dining, 6 x conference rooms, off-site catering, pool, spa, tennis court and gym.

About the job…

  • Part-time position, minimum guarantee of 20 hours per week
  • Assist Food & Beverage Management team oversea daily operations
  • Ensure efficient, friendly and professional food & beverage service is provided to all guests
  • You will coach and mentor the team, building a dream team
  • Hands on role, ability to solve problems in a calm, positive and professional manner.
  • You are the go to person, you are able to remain calm under pressure, always smiling and leading by example.
  • Effectively complete on boarding and training of new team members
  • Attend meetings as required, conduct team morning briefing                           


About you…

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in a similar role, 200+ room Hotel
  • Familiarity and experience in restaurant and bar operations
  • Proven ability to manage wage costs
  • Lead and motivate team, be a positive role model
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, inspirational, have a high energy approach
  • Work hands on with the team to achieve exception results
  • Experience with rostering desirable
  • Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
  • Current QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol and First Aid certificates
  • Must hold current work rights in Australia
