Job Description

We are looking for dynamic and passionate individuals to join our Front of House teams across all of the Food & Beverage venues the Fairmont Banff Springs has to offer: 1888 Chophouse, Castello Italiano, Rundle Bar, STOCK Food & Drink, Vermillion Room and Waldhaus Dining Room & Pub.

Available Opportunities Include:

  • Host/ess
  • Food Porter
  • Sever - 2 years of a la cart experience required at minimum
  • In-Room Dining Server
  • Barista/Pool Bar Attendant

Note - preference will be given to those that our available for the full season (May-October 15th)

Starting Rate: $16.55 per hour - $17.86 per hour, this is dependent on the position.

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. 

What you will be doing: 

Host/ess: 

  • Meet, greet and seat guests and maintain daily floor plans to suit forecasted guest and staffing levels

Food Porter: 

  • Transporting food from the kitchen to the dining room in a quick and efficient way

Server: 

  • Maintain quality and timeliness of service and practice effective up selling and suggestive selling techniques to drive outlet revenue
  • Maintain accurate billing, cash handling and float procedures

In-Room Dining Server:

  • Delivering orders and amenities to guest rooms
  • Setting up and working functions in guest rooms for up to 75 guests
  •  Running of the Gold floor lounge Food & Beverage component.

Barista/Pool Bar Attendant:

  • Take guest orders accurately and process purchases using the POS system
  • Operate coffee making equipment and present beverages according to recipe and presentation standards

 


Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Must have Pro-Serve Certification for Alberta prior to your start date
  • Previous experience in a high-volume and fast paced hospitality environment is preferred (experience required is dependent on position)
  • POS system experience an asset
  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry, with a love for all things food and drink
  • Schedule flexibility, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40+lbs and be able to be on your feet for 8 hours or more
