The resort boasts panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Meryal Waterpark attraction. The Rig 1938 is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.


Job Description

Fitness Manager

The Fitness Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the fitness club, ensuring the facility provides a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for guests.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fitness club, ensuring the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Monitor the usage of equipment and ensure regular maintenance and repair are completed in a timely manner.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and local laws.
  • Conduct regular meetings to ensure clear communication of goals, expectations, and company policies.
  • Address guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback, ensuring prompt resolution to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract new members and retain existing members.
  • Monitor member retention rates and identify areas for improvement.
  • Create and manage the club’s budget, tracking expenses, and revenues to ensure profitability.
  • Handle pricing for memberships, classes, and personal training services.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including certifications and safety standards.
  • Manage inventory of fitness equipment, supplies, and other club-related materials.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules and resolve facility issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance member experience and satisfaction.
  • Organize special events, challenges, and social gatherings to increase member engagement and community-building within the club.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, or related field preferred.
  • Certification in Fitness or related industry qualifications is a plus (e.g., Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a fitness management or similar supervisory role.
  • Proven ability to drive membership growth and financial success.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in fitness industry software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
