Join our team at the Fairmont Spa, within the iconic Fairmont Banff Springs, where you’ll have the opportunity to educate and empower guests and members on their wellness journeys. As a Fitness Consultant, you’ll play a key role in helping others achieve their personal fitness goals in a world-class environment dedicated to balance, vitality, and wellbeing.

Starting Rate: $22.50 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $29.71.

Job Duties Include:

  • Lead safe, engaging group fitness classes, workshops, outdoor programs, and personalized training sessions while ensuring proper technique, equipment use, and guest safety.
  • Deliver exceptional guest and member experiences by responding to inquiries, conducting facility tours, introducing specialized equipment, and creating personalized wellness interactions.
  • Monitor daily Fitness Center operations, maintaining a safe, welcoming environment and ensuring adequate supplies, equipment readiness, and overall guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain the fitness facility to the highest standards by sanitizing equipment, ensuring functionality, and consistently upholding service, safety, operational, Forbes, LQA, and brand requirements.
  • Develop and implement wellness initiatives, fitness challenges, and member engagement programs while supporting team objectives and performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Your Skills & Qualifications:

  • Personal Training Certification from a recognized organization is required.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification is mandatory.
  • Post-secondary education in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience in delivering both personal training and group fitness sessions is required.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and motivate clients.
  • Highly responsible, self-motivated, organized, and energetic, with a proactive approach to service and safety.
  • Proven team player who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
  • Committed to delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining the highest standards of quality and care.
