The 25hours Hotel Indre By has its home in the middle of the Scandinavian metropolis. Art and knowledge are at the forefront in an exciting combination, as the hotel housed a porcelain factory in the 19th century and was later used as a university building. The hotel is centrally located between the Round Tower and the Kobmagergade shopping street. We encourage new ideas and creativity to be actively involved in developing our hotel. Besides taking up work at Hotel Indre By, you will also be taking care of task in relation to our other hotel at Paper Island.

With only a few steps away from Nyhavn, the 25hours Hotel Paper Island has found its home. The building is located on the island of Christiansholm, also known as Paper Island, which has developed into an urban destination in the heart of Copenhagen. Here, you will find relaxation and serenity based on the ideal Scandivianian island holiday home, awakening memories and sensations brought to life by Swedish creative team STYLT Trampoli. Room categories range from Medium to Gigantic and offer a retreat to suit every traveller and their needs.

Job Description

What You’ll Do…

  • Handle daily accounting tasks and assist with month-end closing processes.
  • Daily reconciliations of credit card ledgers, check if correct cash have been deposited and follow up on discrepancies.
  • Perform daily bookkeeping; debtor, creditor and bank.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including dunning procedures and payment follow-ups.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Continuously contribute to optimizing workflows and system integrations.
  • Ensure timely submission of financial reports and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Perform revenue control and reconciliation.
  • Support various ad-hoc accounting and finance-related tasks.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For…

  • 2-4 years of experience in accounting with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
  • Experience in the retail and/or hospitality industry or an understanding of its fast-paced nature and operational complexity.
  • Strong analytical skills with a structured and detail-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude towards cross-functional teamwork.
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Danish VAT regulations.
  • Proactive mindset and keen attention to detail.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables and other analytical functionalities.
  • Knowledge of basic PMS systems (Opera, Symphony) is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with both routine accounting tasks and complex financial matters.
  • Thrives on working with numbers daily and enjoys financial problem-solving.
  • Strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
