Job Description

  • To manage the complete F&B Events. As an Events Manager, behaves in an exemplary fashion, leads by example and is responsible for the overall operation of the events and banqueting. He/she embodies the brand mindset, manages the team ensuring guest satisfaction with quality and high standards of service for customers and ultimately leads the operation to attain profitable results.
  • Ensures the Events and Banqueting space is prepared to a high standard in order for conducting the guests' Event and ensures that all equipment is used correctly.
  • Takes the global level of activity into account when managing the flow of guests and constantly checks the quality, speed and overall efficiency of the team and waiting staff.
  • Ensures that the Back of the house service areas is maintained as per the hotel standards.
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes all aspects of events and banqueting functions, from initial client consultation through post-event evaluation, ensuring seamless delivery and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Manages event budgets and financial performance, monitoring costs, controlling expenditure, and identifying opportunities to maximise revenue whilst maintaining service excellence.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with clients, understanding their requirements, managing expectations, and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Trains, supervises, and mentors the events and banqueting team, fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Ensures compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations, conducting regular audits and implementing corrective actions to maintain the highest standards of operational safety.
  • Coordinates with external vendors, suppliers, and departments to ensure timely delivery of services, equipment, and resources required for successful event execution.
  • Addresses guest concerns and resolves operational issues promptly and professionally, maintaining composure and finding effective solutions to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Monitors and analyses event performance metrics, gathering feedback, and implementing improvements to enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Event Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in events management, banqueting, or hospitality operations
  • Demonstrated expertise in planning, coordinating, and executing large-scale events and banqueting functions
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and food hygiene regulations (HACCP certification or equivalent is desirable)
  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent financial acumen with proven experience in budget management and revenue optimisation
