Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused English-speaking Server to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional dining experience while maintaining the highest standards of service.
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, demonstrating knowledge of menu items and daily specials
- Serve food and drinks promptly and efficiently
- Ensure tables are set up correctly and maintained throughout service
- Process payments and handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
- Respond to guest inquiries and concerns in a courteous and helpful manner
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist in side work duties such as restocking supplies and cleaning
- Adapt to varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, when necessary
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Basic math skills for handling financial transactions
- Exceptional teamwork and collaboration abilities
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality (preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food handling certification (may be required based on local regulations)
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of local cuisine and culture (beneficial)
