Job Description

Job Summary

The Security Agent is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, Heartists, visitors, and hotel assets. The role ensures the protection of people and property through regular patrols, monitoring security systems, enforcing hotel policies, responding to emergencies, and providing professional assistance while upholding Accor's values and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Security

  • Patrol all hotel areas, including guest floors, public areas, back-of-house, parking areas, and perimeter.
  • Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and access control systems.
  • Protect hotel assets against theft, damage, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
  • Ensure all emergency exits, fire equipment, and escape routes remain accessible.
  • Conduct routine security inspections and report any hazards immediately.
  • Assist in implementing hotel security procedures and emergency response plans.

Guest & Heartist Assistance

  • Provide courteous assistance to guests, Heartists, and visitors.
  • Escort guests or employees when required.
  • Respond promptly to guest concerns related to safety and security.
  • Maintain a professional and approachable presence throughout the property.

Incident Management

  • Respond immediately to emergencies including fire alarms, medical incidents, accidents, disturbances, and security breaches.
  • Complete detailed incident and occurrence reports accurately and promptly.
  • Preserve evidence and assist management during investigations when necessary.
  • Coordinate with local authorities, police, fire department, and emergency services when required.

Access Control

  • Monitor staff entrances and exits.
  • Verify identification of contractors and visitors.
  • Ensure delivery vehicles and suppliers follow hotel security procedures.
  • Control access to restricted areas.

Fire & Life Safety

  • Participate in fire drills and emergency evacuation procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with fire safety regulations.
  • Assist with emergency evacuations when required.
  • Report any fire safety deficiencies immediately.

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain accurate daily security logs.
  • Prepare incident, accident, and shift reports.
  • Record lost and found items according to hotel procedures.
  • Communicate security concerns during shift handovers.

Compliance

  • Follow all Accor policies, hotel standards, and local regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding guests, Heartists, and hotel operations.
  • Comply with Health & Safety, Food Safety (where applicable), environmental, and security policies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in hotel security, hospitality, military, or law enforcement is preferred.
  • Valid security certification or license (where required by local regulations).
  • Basic knowledge of fire safety and emergency procedures.
