This property is destined to become an illustrious destination in the Central Business District, nearby the city’s renowned and historic French Quarter.


Job Description

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Talent & Culture to join our dynamic team in New Orleans, United States. As a key member of our executive leadership, you will be responsible for shaping and driving our organization's talent strategy and cultural initiatives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our most valuable asset - our people.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive talent management strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Lead and mentor the Talent & Culture team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
  • Design and oversee employee engagement programs to enhance workplace culture and job satisfaction
  • Oversee Talent & Culture initiatives, acting as a liaison between corporate office and hotel 
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify and address organizational talent needs and challenges
  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention strategies
  • Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
  • Stay abreast of HR trends and best practices, implementing innovative solutions to drive organizational success
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Lead change management initiatives to support organizational growth and transformation
  • Develop and implement performance management systems that drive employee growth and organizational success
  • Create and maintain strategic partnerships with educational institutions and industry organizations

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role
  • Proven expertise in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development
  • In-depth knowledge of US labor laws and employment regulations
  • Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building high-performing teams
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing company-wide HR policies and programs
  • Expertise in change management and organizational transformation
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or similar professional certification strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic organization
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making
