Job Description

We are seeking a visionary Director of Wellness to lead our distinguished wellness initiatives at our luxury resort destination in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. In this strategic leadership role, you will develop, implement, and oversee premium wellness programs that cultivate exceptional physical, mental, and emotional well-being for our esteemed guests and valued team members. The ideal candidate will be a sophisticated leader committed to establishing a culture of refined wellness excellence while delivering measurable outcomes that reflect our commitment to luxury hospitality standards.

 

  • Develop and execute a sophisticated strategic wellness program that aligns with our luxury brand positioning and addresses the refined health preferences of our discerning clientele and staff
  • Lead and mentor the wellness team with excellence, providing professional development and performance guidance to ensure premium service delivery and operational distinction
  • Design and implement curated wellness initiatives including bespoke fitness programming, personalized nutrition consultation, premium mental health support, and exclusive stress management experiences
  • Establish partnerships with elite wellness vendors, luxury fitness facilities, distinguished healthcare providers, and renowned mental health professionals to enhance our exclusive program offerings
  • Manage the wellness budget with precision, allocate resources strategically, and demonstrate exceptional return on investment for all premium wellness initiatives
  • Analyze comprehensive wellness program data and performance metrics to assess effectiveness, identify emerging wellness trends, and provide sophisticated recommendations for continuous program refinement
  • Communicate premium wellness program benefits and exclusive opportunities to guests and employees through sophisticated presentations, curated communications, and refined digital platforms
  • Customize luxury wellness offerings to meet the distinctive needs and elevated preferences of our diverse, discerning clientele at our Playa del Carmen location
  • Ensure full compliance with local health regulations and adherence to international best practices in luxury wellness program management
  • Collaborate strategically with human resources, management, and departmental leadership to integrate wellness excellence into our organizational culture, policies, and guest experience
  • Monitor guest and employee engagement and participation rates, implementing sophisticated strategies to maximize program adoption and foster sustained, meaningful participation

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in wellness program management, health promotion, or a related field, with demonstrated expertise in luxury or high-end market segments
  • 3+ years of demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and organizational initiatives with measurable business impact
  • Strong knowledge of health and wellness best practices, fitness programming, nutrition, and mental health support aligned with current industry standards and emerging trends
  • Proven ability to develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive wellness programs with documented ROI and business outcomes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences and articulate wellness strategy to executive leadership
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining strategic focus
  • Proficiency in budget management, financial analysis, and demonstrating measurable return on investment for wellness initiatives
  • Experience with wellness technology platforms, data analysis tools, and performance metrics to drive evidence-based decision making
  • Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships and collaborate across departments to advance organizational wellness objectives
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to supporting employee well-being while driving organizational culture transformation
  • Knowledge of Forbes-recognized wellness trends, luxury market positioning, and consumer behavior insights in the hospitality sector
  • Familiarity with industry benchmarking, best practice standards, and thought leadership in corporate and luxury wellness
  • Preferred: Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
  • Preferred: Experience working in hospitality, resort, or similar luxury organizational environments
  • Preferred: Certification in wellness coaching, health promotion, or related field from recognized industry bodies
  • Preferred: Experience with employee engagement strategies, behavior change initiatives, and wellness program adoption metrics
  • Preferred: Published articles, speaking engagements, or recognized industry contributions demonstrating thought leadership in wellness
