Job Description

Raffles The Red Sea is seeking an exceptional Director of Residence to lead and oversee all residential operations at our luxury resort destination in Umluj, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for delivering world-class residential experiences while maintaining the highest standards of service excellence that define the Raffles brand. You will drive operational efficiency, foster a culture of excellence, and ensure every resident enjoys an unparalleled lifestyle experience.

  • Oversee all aspects of residential operations, including housekeeping, maintenance, concierge services, and guest relations
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance resident satisfaction and loyalty
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of residential staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Manage residential budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation while maintaining premium service standards
  • Ensure compliance with all operational policies, safety regulations, and Raffles brand standards
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive operational excellence and identify improvement opportunities
  • Cultivate strong relationships with residents, addressing concerns promptly and proactively
  • Collaborate with other departments to create seamless, integrated experiences for residents
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance programs to consistently exceed guest expectations
  • Represent the residential division in strategic planning and organizational initiatives
  • Stay current with luxury hospitality trends and best practices to maintain competitive advantage

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in luxury hospitality management, with at least 3 years in a director-level or equivalent leadership position
  • Proven expertise in residential operations management or property management within ultra-luxury environments
  • Strong track record of leading high-performing teams and developing talent
  • Exceptional customer service orientation with a demonstrated commitment to exceeding guest expectations
  • Advanced proficiency with property management systems and hospitality technology platforms
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing significant operational budgets
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a decisive, action-oriented approach
  • Knowledge of luxury hospitality standards and best practices
  • Preferred: Experience with Raffles properties or similar ultra-luxury resort brands
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Middle Eastern hospitality market and cultural awareness
  • Preferred: Experience managing residential communities or mixed-use properties
  • Preferred: Relevant hospitality management certifications or professional designations

Additional Information

  • Understanding of Ultra-Luxury guest expectations and brand alignment.
  • experience in project coordination, scheduling, and document control during pre-Opening stages.
  • Experience in pre-Opening is a must.
  • A proactive, anticipatory approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Impeccable grooming and personal presentation aligned with Luxury standards.
