Job Description

Director of Food & Beverage

At Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, exceptional Food & Beverage venues and Catering Operations are hallmarks of our overall experience. As Director of Food & Beverage, your leadership and vision will ensure outstanding operating results through exciting menu offerings and promotions, an engaged team and consistent guest satisfaction.

This is a full-time, permanent position.

Salary Range: $119,500 - $140,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications.

Job Duties Include:

  • Leading and coaching over 250 Food & Beverage Operations colleagues across multiple venues to provide excellent guest service, employee satisfaction and profitability
  • Responsible for the preparation of annual Food & Beverage budgets, capital planning and strategic projects as a member of the Hotel Executive Team
  • Directing and assisting the development and implementation of promotional and sales events, menus and concepts
  • Supporting Food & Beverage departments in achieving financial and operational targets, developing strong relationships with all supporting stakeholders and departments
  • Collaborating with all stakeholders on major capital projects for Food & Beverage renovations and repositions
  • Ensuring the ongoing professional development, growth and satisfaction of all leaders and colleagues

Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years' experience in a Food & Beverage Senior Management role in a large luxury hotel
  • Extensive experience running restaurant & banquet operations, with strong culinary and wine knowledge
  • Previously demonstrated leadership skills which support an environment of interdepartmental teamwork and exceptional customer service
  • Experience in mentoring and developing colleagues for career growth
  • A track record of analyzing data and trends while creating innovative strategies for improvement
  • Proven ability to impact financial business results
  • Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or related discipline a strong asset
