Job Description

 

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all events held at the property, including conferences, weddings, banquets, and corporate functions
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring profitability while maintaining the highest standards of service and quality
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, event planners, and corporate partners to secure bookings and maximize revenue opportunities
  • Lead and mentor the events team, providing training, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities
  • Manage venue logistics, including room setup, audiovisual requirements, catering coordination, and technical support
  • Collaborate with departments including Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Engineering to ensure seamless event execution
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external vendors, including florists, decorators, entertainment providers, and equipment suppliers
  • Develop marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to increase event bookings and enhance the property's reputation as a premier events destination
  • Monitor event quality and guest satisfaction through post-event evaluations and feedback mechanisms
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations for all events
  • Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for service enhancement and revenue growth
  • Prepare regular reports on event performance, occupancy rates, and financial metrics for senior management

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or related field

  • Minimum 7-8 years of progressive experience in event planning and coordination, with at least 3 years in a director-level or senior management role
  • Strong proficiency in event management software and property management systems (PMS)
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills with demonstrated vendor relationship experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Strong financial acumen, including budget development, cost control, and revenue optimization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, staff, and senior leadership
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and security regulations specific to event venues and hospitality operations
  • Demonstrated expertise in wedding and social event planning
  • Experience with audio-visual technology and event production
  • Knowledge of destination marketing and tourism industry trends
  • Bilingual capabilities (English and Hindi preferred for Agra location)
