Job Description

  • monitoring and analysing costs
  • cooperating with project managers to help them meet budgeting goals
  • writing reports and presenting information to key stakeholders
  • developing and adjusting budgets
  • researching to find opportunities to reduce expenses
  • evaluating project requirements to provide vital resources, including financial and human resources
  • communicating with suppliers to negotiate material costs
  • optimising decommissioning procedures to minimise losses
  • visiting and monitoring retail outlets to assess wastage and efficiency
  • implementing accounting software and automating cost control systems
  • developing financial reporting procedures and systems
  • collaborating with project managers to create effective budgets
  • calculating the variance between the budgeting plan and reality
  • investigating unprofitable variances and losses
  • developing cost-efficient solutions to implement changes
  • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
  • Manage the team for which you are responsible and ensure that they are trained and monitored to carry out the Company’s processes
  • On daily basis, ensure security of the storage and receiving areas are under your control
  • To provide HOD’s with accurate delivery note details in order to establish purchasing accruals at the end of the accounting periods
  • To maintain department stock requirements, identifying shortages in advance and ensuring the order is placed
  • To check, weigh, temperature probe and store all deliveries appropriately
  • Ensure all credit notes are requested and received and delivery notes correspond correctly to orders with the correct pricing
  • To check all storerooms are clean at all times
  • To review purchase requisitions considering issues such as lead times, standardization, quantity discounts, and purchasing budgets
  • Conduct market price surveys in coordination with HODs to ensure best pricing
  • Other Duties as assigned
  • To conduct quarterly OSE inventory and report the variances to the management
  • To reconcile the cost of all officer and entertainment checks and apply credit to the respective departments.
  • To audit prices and quantity variances as per daily Receiving Variance Report.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience is an asset
  • Accounting designation or enrolment required
  • Previous hotel experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Financial systems, Opera, Micros, POS, Excel
  • Knowledge in Future log & product
