As the flagship hotel for the Mercure brand within Australia we invite you to belong to something bigger. We are a big hotel, looking for some big talent! With 517 newly refurbished rooms, 10 conference rooms, and multiple food and beverage outlets.

Are you able to manage your time and can handle juggling numerous tasks at once? We are looking for a Part Time Storeperson to join the team.


Job Description

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this role is responsible for:

  • Ensuring all goods are received in accordance with the quality and quantity stated in purchase orders
  • Confirming goods are accounted for and promptly delivered to operating departments
  • Employ correct stock rotation principles at all times based on 'first in first out' rule
  • Accurately post all invoices into Purchase Plus on a daily basis
  • Communicating with departments to ensure company standards and operating requirements are met
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the loading dock and store areas

Qualifications

  • Previous store person experience in a hotel would be advantageous
  • Exceptional time management and communications skills
  • Experienced in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Is able to follow procedures and maintain a high awareness of security.
  • Problem solving and adaptive
  • Working independently and part of a team
