Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced and passionate Conference & Events Sales Manager to lead our events team and drive exceptional outcomes across the resort and Convention Centre.

This is a leadership role combining team development, client relationship management and commercial performance. You’ll oversee a diverse portfolio of events, support your team to deliver seamless experiences, and build strong partnerships that drive repeat business and revenue growth.

Working in a high-volume events environment, you’ll bring energy, organisation and a commercial mindset to create memorable experiences for clients while developing a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop the Conference & Events team to achieve service and commercial goals
  • Manage a portfolio of events from confirmation through to completion
  • Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to drive repeat business
  • Maximise revenue through upselling and tailored event solutions
  • Oversee event planning, reporting and forecasting through Delphi
  • Partner with Sales and Operations teams to deliver seamless events
  • Monitor team performance, client feedback and key business outcomes

Qualifications

We’re looking for an experienced events professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading teams to success.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in Conference & Events, hotel sales or venue leadership
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams
  • Experience managing events from planning through to delivery
  • Commercial mindset with a focus on revenue, results and client satisfaction
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with Delphi or similar event management systems highly regarded
