About ASTORE

ASTORE is our Global Procurement Organization, which covers all products & services needed by our clients to address their daily operational needs or one-shot construction and renovation projects.

The Europe & North African (ENA) Astore team is responsible for sourcing, negotiating and promoting its products and services in 45 Countries, across Europe, CIS and North Africa.

In the last few years, the Procurement team has placed the digital transformation in its top priorities, aiming to support the internal team from sourcing to selling, and to ease the entire procurement process of our Accor hotels and non-Accor partners.

 


Job Description

Category Manager - FF&E and Construction (m/f/d)

As a member of Astore’s Category Management team, you play a key role in driving our strategy and driving solutions for our hotel partners in the region. Your focus will be on the Construction, Renovation, Technical Maintenance (CRTM) and Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) categories across the ENA region. Your role will involve developing category strategies, managing tenders, and maintaining strong relationships with both suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver value and ensure client satisfaction.

 

What will you do?

  • As Category Manager, you will set up strategies in your categories, source suppliers, negotiate contracts with them, deploy their solutions in the hotels and manage the relationships
  • Be responsible for all (local) procurement for your categories, managing the offers on your marketplace; in addition you are responsible for revenue and profit for the categories in your scope
  • Define and implement strategies for your assigned categories to achieve financial targets and enhance client satisfaction
  • Lead tenders and bidding processes and support the local identification and implementation of best practices, synergies and more
  • Manage the selection and decision making process on suppliers, including assessment of supplier quotations, and negotiate contracts, prices and T&Cs; fully responsible for the source-to-contract-process for your categories, including all RFI-/RFP-/RFQ-processes
  • Manage complex projects involving suppliers, technical directors, architects, and more
  • Take full ownership of financial performance, including EBIT, revenue, customer savings, and bad debt control

Qualifications

Our ideal profile would be:

  • Master degree in Business or Engineering
  • Proven experience in procurement, especially in construction and FF&E categories
  • Expertise in project procurement and category management
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with a strong customer focus
  • Skilled in managing complex tenders and client relationships
  • Full professional proficiency in English and Italian is a must; an additional European language is a plus
  • Comfortable working in multicultural and cross-functional environments
