Job Description

 

  • Supervises and supports the delivery food and refreshments to employee`s and delivering high service standards and procedures with emphasis on ensuring seating and meals are available for all shifts.
  • Cleans and maintains equipment, tools, fixtures using correct cleaning agents and working in a safe and hygienic manner
  • Cleans and re-stocks service stations and all other storage places.
  • To be familiar with all items available to employee`s in relation to the employee menu and buffet items.
  • To set up each table according to the needs for each service, including condiments and utilities
  • To adhere to the cleaning schedule and ensure it is followed at all times.
  • To report for duty on time and ensure a smart image at all times by maintaining the highest standards of personnel hygiene
  • To be knowledgeable of all equipment in the cafeteria.
  • Performs any other tasks requested by  Human Resources Team and any reasonable request made by employee`s committee members
  • Be actively involved in food welfare committee meeting and ideas to enhance the employee dining experience
  • Attend team meetings and training sessions on a regular basis, as and when required
  • To carry out any occasional duty as requested by the Employee Accommodation Manager, including functions such as employee welfare events and National days.
  • Responsible for food control, stock taking, ordering and quality control
  • Assist the Stewards in preparing Cafeteria utensils used during meal and tea breaks.
  • Ensures that proper sanitation and hygiene is being followed in dining and kitchen area.
  • Be properly groomed at all times
  • Provides assistance to employees in the Cafeteria.
  • Work closely with the Hygiene Manager and Chief Steward to ensure the dining facilities meet all food safety and municipality standards

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail with a passion for hospitality
  • Good communication and time management skills with a friendly personality
  • Availability to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays
