Mercure Hotel Nijmegen Centre is, as the name suggests, centrally located in Nijmegen. Within 1 minute you are at the train and/or bus station and after a 5-minute walk you are in the centre of Nijmegen.


With 4 hotel stars and 112 hotel rooms, we are one of the larger hotels in Nijmegen and we are known for the service we provide to our guests.

Job Description

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and you and your colleagues will make sure of that.


Your day starts with baking delicious rolls, fresh croissants and preparing the breakfast buffet. After making yourself a nice cup of coffee or tea, you welcome our guests and spoil them with all the goodies the buffet has to offer.


During breakfast, you make sure the buffet is well presented, clear and set the tables. Besides working in front of the screens, you will also work in the kitchen when certain products need to be replenished or when dishes need to be washed in the dishwasher. Together with your colleagues, you clean up after breakfast and make sure everything is ready for the next day.


After regular breakfast hours, you are busy in the kitchen making preparations for the coming days and if guests come to our bar/lobby for a cup of coffee, tea, a soda or something else tasty to drink, you serve them.

 


Qualifications

You want to know more:

Your standard question is not what our guest's room number is, but you ask them how they slept and are interested in what brings the guest to Nijmegen.

You think ahead:

During breakfast, you and your colleagues make sure that everything runs like clockwork, for example, the buffet always looks tip-top and you are the one who emptied the coffee machine's grounds bin just before it is full.

  • You have your own transport so that you can always get to work, even when public transport is not available.

 


Additional Information

Not travelling to work by public transport but by car? You can! We have a large car park next to the hotel where you, as a colleague, can park your car.

If you come by bike, it can always be parked in our covered bicycle shed.
