Job Description

Event Planning & Execution:

  • Oversee the setup, service, and breakdown of all banquet events, ensuring compliance with DOT standards and hotel policies.
  • Coordinate with the Sales & Events team to ensure seamless execution of banquet functions.
  • Ensure all events run smoothly by managing staff, resources, and logistics efficiently.

Guest Experience & Service Quality:

  • Maintain high service standards, ensuring guest satisfaction and handling any complaints promptly.
  • Supervise banquet staff to provide excellent customer service and ensure consistency in service delivery.
  • Work closely with the culinary team to ensure food and beverage service meets quality and safety standards.

Team Leadership & Staff Management:

  • Train, mentor, and supervise banquet staff, ensuring they meet hotel and DOT service standards.
  • Schedule staff appropriately for events, balancing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve service levels.

Financial & Operational Management:

  • Monitor banquet revenue and control expenses to maximize profitability.
  • Ensure proper inventory management of banquet supplies, linen, and equipment.
  • Work with the Finance team to manage billing and invoicing for banquet events.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed, in line with DOT and hotel policies.
  • Conduct regular inspections of banquet areas to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for banquet operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in banquet or event operations, preferably in a DOT-accredited hotel or resort.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Knowledge of banquet service techniques, food safety regulations, and event coordination.
    • Budgeting and financial management skills.
  • Certifications: Food Safety & Hygiene certification (if required by local regulations).
